Village View

Updated: Nov 16

I had a delightful experience photographing at Village View in Emporia, Virginia. The Mansion House's historical significance and Federal-style architecture provided a unique and charming backdrop for my photography session. The blend of the 1815 construction with later improvements in 1826 adds to the rich historical character of the location.

The addition of a two-story rear ell in the 20th century also brings an interesting mix of architectural styles to the property. It's always fascinating to capture the essence of history and architecture in photography, especially when working with talented models.

The combination of the vintage dress that complemented the historic house's design and the use of window lighting and unique antiques as props resulted in some truly captivating shots. It's wonderful when all the elements come together to create a visually stunning and cohesive story in your photographs.

The fact that Village View is available for local events and weddings adds another layer of versatility to the location. It's always exciting to have the opportunity to shoot in such a picturesque and historically rich setting for various occasions.

I am already looking forward to my next session at Village View, and I’m sure to capture even more beautiful moments and explore different angles and perspectives of this historic venue.
